Motorgrrl Rider Inspections at OVER AND OUT

At Over And Out events, we are all about support! Trail support, mechanical support… it’s crucial to setting you up for safety and a good time. That’s why we are SO stoked about having Motorgrrl on site to make sure your bikes are ready to hit the the trails with their morning moto inspections!

ABOUT MOTORGRRL

MotorGrrl is a professional full service motorcycle garage and retail space, located in Greenpoint Brooklyn, NY.

They’re much more than just a shop though; they’re a huge part of the moto community. Motorgrrl offers bike parking, DIY memberships, and custom build workshops and frequently hosts charity events, artist showcases and they have some raging season opening parties! They can fix your new or vintage motorcycle, build you a custom one or teach you how to do either of these things yourself.

Established in 2004, Motorgrrl is woman-owned by Val Figarella, and operated with the support of an outstanding team. We’ve been lucky to have the Motorgrrl team at OAO events providing fun mechanical demos and activities since the very beginning!

GET INSPECTED AT THE MOTORGRRL POP-UP!

Motorgrrl will be performing basic inspections on Friday and Saturday mornings at OVER AND OUT. Riders should visit Motorgrrl before heading out to ride, and the Motorgrrl crew will show you what to look for on your bikes to ensure the best performance and safety.

Reminder: You should always prep your bike for a weekend of riding before you come to Over And Out events (before you go riding, period!) Please remember, these inspections are not a replacement for doing the essential maintenance on your own motorcycle and being properly prepared!

Here’s a basic pre-event list:

  1. Inspect and tighten bolts.

  2. Check and clean your air filter.

  3. Check your tire pressure.

  4. Check brakes - pads and fluid.

  5. Check your chain tension - it shouldn’t be taut, but have very little slack.

  6. Change your oil.

  7. Bring spare tubes, levers, and if heading out on a dual sport ride, ensure you have all your proper documentation.

  8. Make sure you are gassed up and ready to roll!
