Riding Options at Over And Out Moto-X

Our event this October, Over And Out Moto-X, opens the gates to another beautiful piece of private property to cater to female riders of all levels. This property features a fun motocross track, massive farm fields and some woods loops, and it’s located right in the middle of some of the prettiest Delaware River towns nestled along the NJ/PA border.

There are a lot of options for all kinds of riders, whether you’re a motocross rider, are a newer rider, a woods rider, or you want to take your street-legal dual sport on a nice camp and ride in a beautiful place this fall! Read on about the riding options at OAOMX!

The Track

Everyone can ride on the track. We’ll be running segments of ride time according to rider level, alternating “expert”, “novice”, and “everyone”, so you can enter the track and have some reassurance as to who is on the track with you. From Friday to Sunday, everyone will have ample time to ride the track.

The track features tabletop jumps, and honestly you don’t even need to jump one of these jumps. They can easily be rolled over without even leaving the ground. So they’re great for practicing your body positioning and speed and safely working your way up to catching some air. You can also just ride around anything you’re not ready for ;)

FIRST, TELL US A LITTLE BIT ABOUT YOURSELF AND LAMPI MX TRAINING!

Hey, my name is Aaron Lampi. I’m 24 years old and currently live in Fishkill,NY. I started riding when I was 4 years old. My goal was always to become a professional motocross racer. I turned pro at the age of 16 and still race professionally today!

I started teaching 5 years ago as a hobby and to help some of my friends. Now, you could call it a “job” but, I love sharing my knowledge and seeing other people’s riding skills improve.

WHAT IS YOUR LIFE LIKE RIGHT NOW, WITH TRAINING AND PRO RACING?

I’m so blessed with the life I’m living. During the week, I train riders everyday. When I’m not training, I’m riding and or at the gym! And on the weekends I race. There’s not much time left in a week for much else.

I race almost every weekend starting in April and ending in October. In fact, right after I teach at OAOMX on Saturday October 5th, I’ll be racing the very next day!

WHAT’S YOUR FAVORITE THING ABOUT IT ALL?

The best part about riding and racing dirt bikes is that it’s one of the only times in my life where I’m completely “in the moment”.

DO YOU TRAIN ANY FEMALE MX ATHLETES?

I have trained a few female motocross riders! A few that come to mind are Bella Kozloski, Gabriella Marafioti, and Amberly Goyette!

IMG_0144.JPG

WHAT WILL THE CLASS BE LIKE?

My classes cater to a variety of riders. I will individualize attention during the class so I can help each rider on what that rider needs to work on. I will have the class work sections on the track (using a certain span of track, a turn, a jump or other track feature). Riders will receive detailed explanation of technique and apply it on the track repeatedly.

Throughout each drill, I will watch each rider and pull each rider side to give them individual feedback on what they're doing right and what they can do to improve.  We will go over a lot of information like; Attack Position, Cornering Position, Clutch Use, Braking, Acceleration, Jumping, Transitions, Riding Knowledge, and more!

IMG_0147.JPG

WE HAVE A LOT OF ATTENDEES WHO ACTIVELY RIDE WOODS AND ENDURO, BUT NOT NECESSARILY MOTOCROSS. CAN THEY TRAIN WITH YOU TOO?

Absolutely! Not every rider has to have a motocross-specific bike. A rider on a woods bike can dial in their technique just as well in my class.

Check out the registration page for ALL details and bike and gear requirements.

NOTE: There are two different class offerings at OAOMX: Lampi MX Training and GPMX Dirty Girls. They are both on Saturday 10/5 and overlap because they are two different offerings based on rider experience. If you are unsure which class is for you, check out their descriptions on our blog and feel free to send any questions to info@overandoutmoto.com.

And, aside from classes, there will be open riding time on the track and throughout the property.

GPMX Dirty Girls Class at OAOMX

We’re stoked to have GPMX joining us at OAOMX to offer their Dirty Girls class and rental bikes!

If you were at our summer event in Tamaqua, you might have met Marika Pamart on the dual sport rides, or Greg Pamart who built and hosted the obstacle game course! And surely you loved them as much as we do! We’re stoked to have them joining us again at Over And Out Moto-X this October.

GPMX’s class on Saturday, October 5th is SOLD OUT, so we’ve added class availability to Friday, October 4th, with or without one of their bikes.

What is GPMX Dirty Girls? The Dirty Girls class was started by Marika Pamart when she saw a need for women who want to learn how to ride a dirt bike in a less intimidating environment. “Women just enjoy riding and learning with other women! Bonds, friendships and rider-ships are built here! Along with skills and technique in a fun atmosphere!” Marika says.

What will this class be like? This class is great for newer-to-offroad or intermediate dirt riders. This class will take place primarily in fields and grass tracks and will take some laps on the track, so you can see what that’s all about! This class is ideal for anyone who can operate a dirt bike, and is looking to learn and improve proper techniques plus explore the track (as opposed to spending a full class on the track).
