Watch Now: ISDE Women's Trophy Team Racer, Rachel Gutish

Get Ready for the 96th ISDE!

In just a few days from publishing this post, riders from all over the world will compete in the 96th annual FIM International Six Days Enduro in France. The ISDE, aka the “Six Days”, is often described as the Olympics of off-road riding, and is one of the most exciting events to watch unfold.

This year’s Women’s Trophy Team is made up of three incredible female riders: Rachel Gutish on a GASGAS EX 350F, Korie Steede on KTM 250 SX-F, and Brandy Richards, on her KTM 350 XC-F Factory Edition. All three of these riders are incredible to watch, and both Brandy and Rachel are gunning for a repeat victory, after having taken the podium for USA last year.

To share some insight from USA Team manager, Antti Kallonen:

As with all three teams, expectations are high. But they’re especially high with our Women’s Team, as we have two of last year’s champs — Brandy and Rachel — returning to the team to defend their title. Brandy has continued showing great speed and improvement in all types of terrain this year, and I expect her to fight for another ISDE win. Rachel will be very solid when it comes time for ISDE. She’s been dealing with some injuries, but I have no doubts she’ll be ready come the end of August. I’m happy to welcome Korie to the Team, as she has shown great speed the last few years and finally gets a chance to show that at the world level.

We’ve been fortunate to have had Rachel join us at multiple Over And Out events over the years, leading training clinics and serving as a mentor for our female attendees.

Rachel returned to our most recent event, our off-road training campout, and left an impact on dozens of women who trained with her or joined a casual trail/track walk to hear how a pro eye’s up the terrain and prepares for the ride or race, much like they do in the ISDE with pre-race walks.

After dealing with some injuries earlier this year - injuries that could have just as likely ended a racing career - Rachel is back in action and looking great on the bike. At Over And Out, she taught dozens of ladies how to get the front wheel up to cross logs; how to choose lines, maintain momentum and navigate large rock gardens; and, how to crush water crossings and steep hill climbs.

Follow along with Rachel Gutish, Brandy Richards, Korie Steede as well as the FIM ISDE and AMA Channels to see how these ladies navigate their way through the courses in France. Let’s go Team USA!
