Rules and FAQs

All details specific to this event will be addressed and/or linked to this event page, above. Please read everything or search for answers to all your questions prior to registering. All tickets are non-refundable.

NEW FOR THIS YEAR: Fox Raceway will be open to the public during our event, but we have secured EXCLUSIVE use of the Vet Track, Kids Tracks and Off-Road Loop all day Sat 3/16 for extended hours, and 2 nights camping in a ladies-only event zone. Ladies 16+ with either a Rider or Non-Rider ticket to OAO’s Women’s Moto Campout event will have access to these areas plus our ladies-only lesson groups and all event perks!

To clarify further:

  • Ladies with a “Rider” ticket have access to all tracks, and exclusive female-only access to the Kids and Vet Tracks as well as Off-Road loop and trails all day Saturday 3/16, and extra riding hours (until 4pm). They also have access to our ladies-only parking/camping zone and event space, ladies-only lesson groups with Vicki Golden or Sedlak Off-Road School, and activities plus all perks included with the ticket, outlined above with more TBA. They also can stay and ride on Sunday without paying additional! Must be 16+.

  • Ladies with a “Non-Rider” ticket have access to our ladies-only camping zone and event space, all non-riding activities and perks included with the ticket, outlined above with more TBA. Must be 16+.

  • Ladies with a “1-Day Pass” have access to all tracks, and exclusive female-only access to the Kids and Vet Tracks as well as Off-Road loop and trails all day Saturday 3/16, and extra riding hours (until 4pm). Please arrive early to register and attend the 8:30am rider meeting.

  • Ladies Under 18 must have a parent/guardian present. If that parent/guardian is female and wishes to join in the event and camp in our ladies-only event area, they must have an event ticket as well (whether Rider or Non-Rider) If the parent/guardian is for a 1-day pass attendee, they can simply pay the Fox gate fee on site and sign a waiver at our onsite registration.

  • Anyone who is NOT female (and therefore not a ticket-holder), and not 16+ can still be a regular patron of Fox Raceway. They must pay Fox Raceway’s regular gate and camping fees upon arrival, they will not have access to our event’s ladies-only camping zone and event space, and will not have access to the Kids Tracks, Vet Tracks, or Off-Road loop on Sat 3/16 only. They may not book or participate in our ladies-only lessons and activities.

FAQs

Do I need to have a motorcycle license to attend?  You don't need a motorcycle license to attend the event, or ride an off-road-only dirt bike.

Do I need my own bike to attend?  Rentals are available from either Sedlak Off-road School or Champion MX. Sedlak Off-Road’s bikes are 4-stroke bikes, 125-140cc, ideal for novice through intermediate riders. Champion MX offers KTM models for more experienced riders. See links above.

Will there be any lessons?  Yes! There’s no better way to get started than with lessons at a super fun weekend event where you can make new riding friends! We will have lessons available for all level riders of motocross (on the track) and enduro (non-track off-road trails). These cost an additional fee, but we work with our lesson partners to offer special prices at our big campouts. You must have an OAO Rider ticket to book lessons or participate in riding activities.

Why doesn’t my ticket include lessons or rentals? It’s easier to let everyone book a la cart! Some girls want to bring their own bikes and not take a lesson. So we offer the base ticket, and you can add on options that suit your specific needs. The base ticket price helps cover the land or facility rental, camping fees, facilities (things like porta-potties and trash!), insurance (!!!), permits, and everything else it takes to create an amazing space and experience for ladies only. Thanks to our sponsors we’re able to add even more amazing value for you. Add-On fees, like lessons and rental costs, go to our lesson and rental partners directly for their equipment, maintenance, expertise and time. Consider all your options and decide which is right for you!

What type of gear do I need?  Helmets are required AT ALL TIMES when riding. Required gear includes: full-face dirt helmets, goggles, gloves, knee pads or braces, upper body protection (some combination of back, elbow, shoulder, arm as you prefer), off-road riding/motocross boots, riding jersey and pants.

What if I don’t have my own gear? We recommend purchasing some from our incredible sponsors Fox, Bell, REV’IT, Revzilla and others. This is the safest and most hygienic option. Looking for recommendations? Ask the many members of our community in our Facebook Group!

Will there be mechanical support? First, it is your responsibility to bring a well-functioning, safe vehicle to ride. Do not bring a broken bike and expect event staff to get it running. Have your bike looked over by a mechanic at least a month before the event. That being said, we will have general mechanical support available on site.

What is the camping area like?  Camping with a ton of like-minded ladies is always a blast! There is one big area for parking and dry camping. Attendees may camp in RVs, cars, trucks or set up tents. There are no hookups, and no showers or running water. RV’s must be self-contained. There will be porta-potties on site, and we always bring extra TP for yas! If you wish to not stay onsite, you may come and go from your own AirBnb, hotel and such.

What if I get to the area early, or am staying in the area after the event? Attendees are only allowed on site between gates opening on Friday at 4pm and gates closing on Sunday at 2pm. You will have to find another place to stay for other nights. Our ladies-only camping zone must be empty by 2pm on Sunday 3/17.

What do I do with my campsite garbage?  Please keep a trash bag at your camp site, take it with you when you go. This is standard practice, and not that inconvenient. Pack in-pack out and leave no trace. Please and thank you.

Will the event be cancelled in bad weather?  The event will be held rain or shine.  So much work goes into these events that we have to be fully committed, and we hope you are too. Any aspect within the event could be subject to cancellation in extreme weather for the safety of the riders. In extreme situations, we’ll evaluate and communicate in a timely manner via direct email to ticket-holders.

Will there be food?  Yes, there will be food trucks or service to be announced, as well as the Red Plate cafe on site! You should also bring your own food and drinks to make sure you stay well-hydrated and nourished.

What can I bring?  Bring everything you need for riding and camping comfortably including gear, extra gas, a battery pack for your phone, plenty of water, sunscreen and layers appropriate for the weather. Camp in an RV, car or truck or set up a tent - the choice is yours!

Is alcohol allowed? You may bring alcoholic beverages, but drinking alcohol is not allowed until riding is done for the entire day. You must be of legal age to consume alcoholic beverages, and we have a zero tolerance policy for under-age drinking, excessive drunkenness or even attempting to operate a motor vehicle while intoxicated at any level. Safety is our top priority.

What can’t I bring? No weapons of any kind, no fireworks, no promotional or marketing materials, no banners or overwhelming visual items, no items for sale, no unsolicited giveaways, no illegal substances, no pollutants, no individual fires. No inflammatory signage, apparel and so on. We expect all attendees and participants to conduct themselves responsibly, with integrity and respectful behavior, and to help ensure comfort and safety for all attendees. Our collective focus is on riding and having fun in an environment that is reasonably comfortable for all participants. Respect shared space; No bad attitudes!

Will any men be there?  We have a couple male partners and staff who are there to manage property tasks and assist with emergency situations, or are our coaches/rental providers. Once riding is done for the day, they depart to their own area away from the ladies-only zones. Any men involved with our event are strictly for safety and technical assistance. We protect the female-only socializing and bonding aspect of this event strongly. Our security will kick men out of our event-specific zone, risking ejection from the track facility overall. Outside of our event zone there may be regular male patrons of Fox Raceway there throughout the weekend, some of whom might be the fathers, sons or friends of our event attendees, making it possible for more ladies to attend, learn and enjoy the event!

What if I identify as a female or non-binary? If you genuinely feel like this female-focused event and the female riding community is the place for you, you belong here and we welcome you. If you are not someone who is genuine about this, you already know the answer to your own question, we shouldn’t have to tell you.

Can I hand out swag, take photos and videos, or sell things? No. We curate the experience for our attendees with contributions from sponsors we value and trust. We’re also dedicated to not turning OAO into a “meat market” of goods, promotions and sales attempts. We want our attendees to have a nice time without solicitation or distraction. Promotional photography is strictly prohibited. If you’d like to speak to OAO about sponsorship or media coverage opportunities, contact us.

How can I contact the organizer with any questions? Please read all the FAQs here first. If you still need help, use our contact form.

I bought a ticket but now can’t come. Can I transfer the name of the ticket to a friend? You must contact us to do this at least 14 days prior to the event. Please use our contact form. Payment must be arranged directly between you and your third party, Over And Out will not issue direct refunds. And because we will be traveling, all transfers must be done by the 14 day cutoff which is March 1st, 2024.

What's the refund policy? NO REFUNDS.
