Options for Dual Sport and ADV Riders at OAO2023!

Check out ALL these great riding options at Over And Out 2023 for attendees with Dual Sport or ADV bikes that are licensed, plated, registered and insured and have tires that are 70/30 or more aggressive. Some are free, some require a separate booking, but ALL are going to be so FUN!!!!

Training + Excursions with SOS!

We’re so stoked to offer these group training and excursion sessions with USMCA-certified coach Dan Sedlak of Sedlak Off-Road School (SOS). Because we don’t want to just send you on an off-road excursion without feeling prepared, the first half the session consists of small group training, where you’ll learn and practice important off-road techniques that will make you more capable on bike, and make off-road terrain less intimidating.

There will be a short break mid-session for you to grab food, hydrate and get ready to roll out as a crew, and the second half of the session will be a guided group outing where you can put your new training to great use! To finish out the day, the group will stop for an ice cream treat, included with the session!

CHOOSE FROM TWO LEVELS:

Friday 9/15 9:30am-4pm | Intro To Adventure

The session will start with the fundamentals of off-road riding breaking down the most important techniques, like off-road body position, in easy to understand steps. Once you are familiar with the fundamental body position we will focus on finding traction, throttle and clutch control as well as braking in loose dirt and gravel. The outing will be a scenic route on a mix of pavement, gravel, and dirt roads, and possibly a water crossing if the group is feeling up to it! To finish out the day, the group will stop for an ice cream treat, included with the session!

Saturday 9/16 9:30am-4pm | Next Level Adventure

This session will recap fundamentals then move on to riding standing up, transitioning from sitting to standing, foot placement, and how to ride a big adventure bike as efficiently as possible. The outing will bring a bit more challenge, venturing onto rockier trails and single track. To finish out the day, the group will stop for an ice cream treat, included with the session!

Free Dual Sport / ADV Outings, sponsored by REV'IT!

Because we know most riders might want to commit a maximum of one day to training, we’ve created some shorter street-legal outings riders can also take advantage of, with free signup for one outing included with each General Admission ticket, sponsored by REV’IT!, while supply lasts.

These small group outings will be guided by a crew of REV’IT! ambassadors, including Amelia Nunn (@millieonthemove) and Liz Kiniery (@lizismoto). The group will meet up at the REV’IT! lounge to get ready, grab some free snack bars for the road, and roll out for a fun outing together! The routes will be easy level, on pavement or easiest dirt road, and include a 30-60 minute stop at a local attraction, described below.

CHOOSE FROM TWO OPTIONS:

Friday 9/15 10am-1pm | Carbon County Environmental Education Center

Wildlife lovers, this is for you! The Carbon County Environmental Education Center is on the docket for this outing! Enjoy a pleasant ride with your crew, then stop in the CCEEC for a quick tour. Their programs feature live creatures, such as bald eagles, turtles, owls, squirrels and more. Our group will have a roughly 30-60 minute tour and time to look around.

Saturday 9/16 10am-1pm | No. 9 Coal Mine and Museum

Historic and Spooky!! Enjoy a pleasant ride with your crew, and stop at the No. 9 Coal Mine and Museum for roughly 1-hour tour, which includes taking a rail car 600ft into the mountain to tour an old coal mining tunnel. On-Site Trails

Depending on your bike and your skill level, you could definitely cruise some of the on-site trails at OVER AND OUT 2023, particularly the ones that are marked with Green arrows. These routes are basically roads, wide enough for a truck to fit on, often consisting of gravel, smooth or rocky two-track or sandy/rocky power line trail, or grass.

Not sure which would work for you? You could always ask for trail advice at the Revzilla tent, and/or gather up for a group ride at 12pm or 3pm Friday and Saturday to get some advice from our team and other riders before heading out and team up with a crew so you’re not alone!
